In this presentation, we'll take a quick look at PVAAS and it's purpose, identify the data sources used to determine PVAAS scores and determine where this data is gathered. We'll spend a bit of time exploring how PVAAS is used at the building, district and state levels. Finally, we'll review the data verification process and discuss the handling of duplicate students across multiple LEAs.
Presenter: Cristine Wagner-Deitch, Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment, Beaver Area School District
The content shared in this month’s DQN focuses on two important collections in which multiple LEAs are reporting information for the same students. The Networking activity will consist of discussion topics to share with fellow LEAs on procedures and strategies for sharing information and verifying the accurate reporting of student information. Some examples of the impact of inaccurate reporting and the importance of communication between LEAs will also be shared.
